One line is enough. About thirty seconds, one-handed. Photos and voice attach to the line.

Note

Weather is a picker you set yourself — dry, light rain, heavy rain, wind, frost, hot. Todayworks does not pull a weather feed. Labour is trade and headcount, with optional names. It is not hours.

On the job

Snags
A photo, a place, who owns it, a due date, and a signature when it is closed. On every plan — not a Crew extra.
Forms
7 fixed templates. Required fields are held before sign-off. There is no form builder.
Toolbox talks
38 UK talks. Written briefing on the phone, crew signature. Video is optional and needs signal — it is not required.
Hire and materials
What is on hire, and materials taken from the approved product list. Company registers sit with the office.
Pocket files
SDS, RAMS, manuals, and the rest (SDS, RAMS, Method, Manual, Permit, Other) stay on the phone so the van folder is not the only copy.
Tickets and certificates
Competence tickets (CSCS, First aid, IPAF, PASMA, Asbestos awareness, SSSTS / SMSTS, Gas Safe, NICEIC / ECS, Other) with an expiry. File ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 certificates — number, scope, expiry. That is a file, not a claim that the company is certified.

Pack and client

Three presets: day, week, or dispute. Index, diary, attendance, snags, forms, photo appendix, logo.

You print that view from the phone or the office browser. It is the company pack, not a screenshot. There is no stored PDF file and no Excel export.

Client share is a link for the dates you choose. They view and sign on that page, or you hand over the printed pack. A crew phone sees the job file after sync. A client link opens on the phone that holds the file until another device has the same pack. They do not get the whole company.

Roles

Owner
Back office and field. Can invite, end access, and edit the product list.
Site manager
Field plus office: sites, registers, invites. Cannot remove the owner.
Operative
Phone only — diary, snags, forms, hire and materials on site.
Read only
Look, do not log. For a client or the office. They cannot upload.

Office-only live location shows who is on site. Operatives do not get that map.

Offline

The phone saves first. Diary, photos, voice, forms, snags, and pocket files work with no signal. Sync runs when bars return. A save does not wait on GPS, storage, or the network. A photo counts as in the office copy only after the file has arrived — a caption on its own is not synced.

Not in this product

No drawings, sheet pins, or BIM.
No automatic weather, labour hours, or spreadsheet export.
No quoting, invoicing, dispatch, payroll, or fleet.
Not a golden-thread store for higher-risk buildings.
Not a client portal. Share is a link and a signature, or the printed pack.
